The best way to learn how to weave is to watch someone do it. Drawing from her experience as a fiber artist over the past 3 years, Asheton Zager has created an engaging workshop for beginners that will teach you the basics of weaving your own tapestry from start to finish. Together you will explore some basic mechanics while allowing room for you to explore your own individual style. Weaving techniques covered will include: the tabby stitch, variations of complex tabby stitches, soumak stitch, layout of shapes, and her secret, most versatile way of pulling your weaving off the loom. No prior knowledge or skills necessary!

Ashton Zager is a fiber artist based out of her home in Asheville, North Carolina. A self taught artist, she creates a wide array of woven art focusing on variation in texture and color.
